I thought this was clever and funny:
Since the Trinity is unique and the incarnation of the Son of God is unique, no analogy can fully illustrate the Trinity, or "Trinitas Unitas" or the incarnation and hypostatic union. (the point made by James White, in his excellent critique of William Lane Craig using the Greek mythology three-headed dog of Cerberus for the Trinity and the modern movie of Avatar as an illustration of the incarnation and hypostatic union of the 2 natures of Christ.
HT: From a Lutheran blogger. (John the Lutheran)
Which I discovered by looking at a Conservative Anglican blogger who goes by Cranmer, here. (Which I discovered by debating Muslims, when the issue came up that churches are dying in England and Muslims with lots of oil wealth from Saudi and Kuwait are buying up old and dead churches. )
About the Cranmer blog: It is nice to see a conservative Anglican who believes in historic Christianity, and condemns racism, hatred, and bigotry; and also condemns political correctness; and also stands for Christian morality and conservative Christian positions in political matters. Refreshing!

Liberal Media hypocrisy
Addendum:
I realize that if someone has to explain a joke or political cartoon, then it looses it's point. So I changed the original title and took out too much explanation of the cartoon; and now just want to let the cartoon speak for itself.

I was recovering from dental work on three teeth and decided to watch and listen to the live streaming of the Benghazi hearings and Secretary of state Hillary Clinton's testimony, while I did some light office work.
The Benghazi hearings were painful to listen to and watch - all the Democrats on both sides of the Congress waisted their 5 minutes with praise and fawning over Hillary Clinton and no Democrat asked one tough question; not one. Many questions still remain unanswered. Only conservative media is asking the tough questions - oh, and a few Republican Senators and Representatives. But I learned why the American people don't like Congress much at all. Those that take the time to watch them on live streaming or C-Span type of coverage, are finding out why we are in so much debt and how our tax money is being wasted at an incredibly massive scale.

Where to Stay in Tel Aviv

We interrupt the regularly scheduled program for a light-hearted chuckle, unless of course you're going to this hotel in Tel Aviv.
I was in the process of booking a hotel room in Boston MA, and I was curious about a particular rabbit trail about "sabbath observant rooms." This lead me to this hotel in Tel Aviv. Here were the titles of the first five reviews, in order:
"DIRTIEST HOTEL WE HAVE EVER SEEN."
"never again..."
"Israel's answer to Fawlty Towers but not so funny..."
"Awful Experience"
"Never Never Never - Just Awful"

A wish for good luck, and patience!

... to Turretinfan, who has taken up the dubious challenge to debate the Catholic Champion, Matthew Bellisario, (much like one of the world's foremost Bible scholars) on the topic of Sola Scriptura, on his debate blog.
Just to give you a taste of what he's facing, take a look at what passes for exegesis from the Champion. I have not looked up this quote; I will be answering the Champion on his own grounds. He is attempting to make a citation from Hippolytus regarding the BVMary being the Ark.
He begins:
Hippolytus, on his commentary onIt was then pointed out here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here that the very first sentence of his own citation defeats his assertion, namely:
Psalm 22 and 23...
"The Lord is my Shepherd."
And, moreover, the ark made of imperishable wood was the Saviour Himself. For by this was signified the imperishable and incorruptible tabernacle of (the Lord) Himself, which gendered no corruption of sin. For the sinner, indeed, makes this confession: "My wounds stank, and were corrupt, because of my foolishness." But the Lord was without sin, made of imperishable wood, as regards His humanity; that is, of the virgin and the Holy Ghost inwardly, and outwardly of the word of God, like an ark overlaid with purest gold.
the ark made of imperishable wood was ***the Saviour Himself***(Emphasis mine.) (Yes, really.)
Unbelievably, the Champion continues to contend that the citation stands.
Apparently in the Champion's world, these two statements are interchangeable, or perhaps the 1st one actually means the 2nd, if only my blasted private interpretation weren't getting in the way:
1) the ark made of imperishable wood was the Saviour HimselfIf this is the level of discourse and "exegesis" we can expect from the Champion in his upcoming debate, I pity TurretinFan and will pray fervently that his sanity not flee screaming from him.
2) the ark made of imperishable wood was Mary

The Reformation Polka
Don't mean to bump JohnMark, but...bump!
The Reformation Polka
by Robert Gebel
From here.
[Sung to the tune of "Supercalifragilistic-expialidocious"]
When I was just ein junger Mann I studied canon law
While Erfurt was a challenge, it was just to please my Pa.
Then came the storm, the lightning struck, I called upon Saint Anne,
I shaved my head, I took my vows, an Augustinian!
Oh...
Papal bulls, indulgences, and transubstantiation
Speak your mind against them and face excommunication!
Nail your theses to the door, let's start a Reformation!
Papal bulls, indulgences, and transubstantiation!
When Tetzel came near Wittenberg, St. Peter's profits soared,
I wrote a little notice for the All Saints' Bull'tin board:
"You cannot purchase merits, for we're justified by grace!
Here's 95 more reasons, Brother Tetzel, in your face!"
Oh...
Papal bulls, indulgences, and transubstantiation
Speak your mind against them and face excommunication!
Nail your theses to the door, let's start a Reformation!
Papal bulls, indulgences, and transubstantiation!
They loved my tracts, adored my wit, all were exempleror;
The Pope, however, hauled me up before the Emperor.
"Are these your books? Do you recant?" King Charles did demand,
"I will not change my Diet, Sir, God help me here I stand!"
Oh...
Papal bulls, indulgences, and transubstantiation
Speak your mind against them and face excommunication!
Nail your theses to the door, let's start a Reformation!
Papal bulls, indulgences, and transubstantiation!
Duke Frederick took the Wise approach, responding to my words,
By knighting "George" as hostage in the Kingdom of the Birds.
Use Brother Martin's model if the languages you seek,
Stay locked inside a castle with your Hebrew and your Greek!
Oh...
Papal bulls, indulgences, and transubstantiation
Speak your mind against them and face excommunication!
Nail your theses to the door, let's start a Reformation!
Papal bulls, indulgences, and transubstantiation!
Let's raise our steins and Concord Books while gathered in this place,
And spread the word that 'catholic' is spelled with lower case;
The Word remains unfettered when the Spirit gets his chance,
So come on, Katy, drop your lute, and join us in our dance!
Oh...
