Water stained walls under Chicago viaducts (flowers and candles replenished to this day). Grill cheese sandwich sold on eBay for $28,000. Bleeding statues of Mary. Bleeding statues of Jesus. There is many a Catholic apologist who would agree that the actions by these folks isn't representative of Catholic teaching and/or is just plain wrong to do, but where is that "teaching church" I keep hearing about? Where is the correction? A belief in a Christ who we haven't seen trumps those who find a need to adore what they do see. I'll stick to Christ and John 20:29 on the matter.
I'm so sorry. For the past year, I've been as hardpressed for time as one can possibly be. But since I have given up on the forum scene, I would consider it an honor to be part of your blogging team. You did send me the login info some time ago, but I don't have it anymore. Do me a favor and email it to me. I'll do my best.
Rhology, I have never said anything worse than the hateful nonsense your write. The only difference here is that you have the double standard, not I. If I think that a fellow catholic is wrong, I'll tell them all the same. You know this to be the case.
Y'know, you're one of the most uncharitable people I've ever "met" on the internet. There's certainly Catholic nonsense out there, but the post to which you linked was merely suggestive, and Pat Madrid is a good guy. I can't believe your attitude worked all that well on the mission field.
I was expecting a UFO!
ReplyDeleteLooks like ol' Pat has an itchy delete-comment finger. Not as though my comment was all that nice...
ReplyDeletePerhaps Patti Scissorhands is in charge of Madrid's comments.
ReplyDeleteYeah, you guys have room to talk about deleting comments.

ReplyDeleteI had to start deleting idiotic comments. I could take no more.2009 is the year of non-tolerance at Beggars All.

Once more, when will join my blogging team?

"Yeah, you guys have room to talk about deleting comments."
ReplyDeleteExactly.
Ray,
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have your e-mail address anymore. Please send it.
Yes, we are all the poorer for not having more Daniel Montoro and Frank Luciani. Shame on you, James.

ReplyDeleteWell said.
Yes!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm catholic now. That picture is obviously a miracle. You really need to convert also. It's so clear.
