I know that the Catholic Church's theology is not precisely what they should be teaching.

If everyone humbly abmits to the church as higher authority than God's Word, it would no longer be about the word of God, but the church would have total control.

From experience, I have been to churches that straight out teach things not present in scripture by taking passages out of context ( my biggest pet peeve). I would never submit to a church before I would to God's word.

Church's may use the word of God, but they don't always teach what it actually says.Innovative Defensehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07854444943308333927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19795707.post-55554884801231033322008-07-31T08:55:00.000-04:002008-07-31T08:55:00.000-04:00"In matters of faith never trust your own judgment..."In matters of faith never trust your own judgment, but always humbly submit to the decisions of Holy Church; for when you believe what the Church teaches, you believe the Word of God."

Scripture is then redundant at best except for torchered use of Matt 16 and a few other verses.bkayceehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15735441833526239587noreply@blogger.com
