I suggest doing a study on Luther's view of monasticism, and then contrasting it with this statement:
Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuits:

Perhaps I'm a bit more in the spirit of Reformation than you think.
Just out of curiousity, to those of you who dislike this particualr blog entry, I'm curious as to whether you visited the Catholic blog I got this particualr news event from (which i linked to), and voiced similar dissatisfaction...
James that blog is a Catholic blog that puts on Catholic news. I didn't think you were in that business. That would be like me putting up an article of a "reformed" Church closing down or something. Not sure what your aiming at here. Anyways.
If you check this blog, I have posted news stories before. Also, I was actually the point of the entry was more about the recent government bail out money scheme.
Uhmm people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. There are 260 abuse cases a year reported by Protestants to only 224 a year among Catholics. This is the report from insurance companies. So don't go throwing stones when you live in a glass house. Scores of Protestants.
The source is the Insurance Journal, which reports insurance cases that are reported each year in various business sectors. You can find one article here on the subject. Enjoy.
There is also a Protestant website that has news article links to various abuse cases by Protestants. The message here is don't go around spouting off about abuse cases in other Churches until you clean up your own.

I am a commenter and I commented. That was my opinion. I am often wrong and I may be here, but I am going down with the ship. God bless. That goes for Mr. Swan as well. I do enjoy the blog, but am sometimes compelled to play devil's advocate. Every conversation needs one of those. That's usually me in real life too.
